2013 Mini Cleanse : Day 2 | Under the Kitchen Sink
>> Wednesday, January 9, 2013
Day 2 of the 2013 Mini Cleanse is the always disorganized "Under the Kitchen Sink". This part of my kitchen has been neglected since we moved in, with my just randomly shoving things in there when I buy something new. But it was time to stop digging through the clutter and clean it out.
Here's the before, it actually looks more organized than it was, I promise.
If only you could see into the dark abyss back there. Nutso I tell ya.
First thing I did was pull everything out and put it on our breakfast nook table.
There was a lot more once it was all out.
But after a quick culling, I got rid of many empty containers (seriously? I was keeping those?) and things we will never use, like carpet cleaner, since we have all wood/tile floors. There were also duplicate boxes (take the swiffers for example above). So instead of 3 boxes, I took the largest one and shoved the extras in there. And here's the after!
I had all of these extra sponges hanging out down here, but they were strewn all over the place. I found this little plastic bowl that we never use in my garage and filled it with the sponges. Now they're neatly arranged and not free range ;)
*ps- the toothbrush is for scrubbing little things, not for my teeth. That would be gross
Everything nicely filed and with easy access
And here's the discard. Not a huge pile, but big enough!
Its nice knowing everything I have below the sink is useful and needed
Coming up tomorrow is the freezer! Hope you're getting organized as well :)

So this has nothing to do with cleaning, but I saw this dress at Old Navy and thought of you (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=91339&vid=1&pid=330717022). It's navy blue with white keys on it - reminded me of your business logo. :)
